What happened?

• CloudFormation deploy provisions VPC tiers, Aurora cluster, ECS services, and WAF in one stack.
• Parameters isolate lab CIDR from prod.

Practice next

1. Validate template: aws cloudformation validate-template --template-body file://awsverse-banking.yaml.
2. Deploy lab stack; note Aurora endpoint output.
3. Run smoke test POST /payments/health; delete stack after.
4. Add second region stack for DR read replica.
5. Enable AWS Backup cross-region copy on Aurora.

Remember

Tiered VPC with private data plane. Aurora Multi-AZ for ledger. Deploy via CloudFormation stack.
