Banking Cloud Platform
Core services ✓ → Projects
Projects · 2 — Deploy · ~10 min · AWS — Enterprise Projects
What is this?
Architecture: Route53 → CloudFront/WAF → ALB → ECS Fargate (payments, accounts) → Multi-AZ Aurora PostgreSQL + DynamoDB sessions → MSK fraud stream → CloudWatch/X-Ray. Private subnets; KMS encryption; PCI-scoped network segmentation.
Why should you care?
AwsVerse core banking needs HA payments, audit trails, and regulatory isolation on AWS.
See it live — copy this example
Run in AWS CloudShell / local AWS CLI v2, or follow the matching steps in the AWS Console (Free Tier).
# Deploy banking stack (lab)
aws cloudformation deploy \
--template-file awsverse-banking.yaml \
--stack-name awsverse-banking-lab \
--parameter-overrides Environment=lab VpcCidr=10.50.0.0/16 \
--capabilities CAPABILITY_IAM CAPABILITY_NAMED_IAM \
--tags App=Banking CostCenter=fin-core
What happened?
- CloudFormation deploy provisions VPC tiers, Aurora cluster, ECS services, and WAF in one stack.
- Parameters isolate lab CIDR from prod.
Practice next
- Validate template: aws cloudformation validate-template --template-body file://awsverse-banking.yaml.
- Deploy lab stack; note Aurora endpoint output.
- Run smoke test POST /payments/health; delete stack after.
- Add second region stack for DR read replica.
- Enable AWS Backup cross-region copy on Aurora.
Remember
Tiered VPC with private data plane. Aurora Multi-AZ for ledger. Deploy via CloudFormation stack.
AwsVerse retail bank
