Mid From PDF Soft Skills Managerial Interview

What’s your approach to mentoring junior developers?

Short answer: I pair them with mid-senior developers for code reviews and involve them in architectural discussions early. I also give them manageable but slightly challenging tasks so they learn by doing. Weekly one-on-ones help me track their growth and unblock any learning barriers.

Real-world example (ShopNest)

Managers care that you communicate early, protect quality, and help the ShopNest team deliver predictably.

Say this in the interview

  1. Define — one clear sentence (the short answer above).
  2. Example — relate it to a project like ShopNest or your real work.
  3. Trade-off — when you would not use it.
